About the Book:

This historical survey traces the historico-political developments, economic and social trends, religious, scientific, diplomatic and cultural movements in international sphere from the inception of christianity till recent times.

The text opens with the awakening of the human spirit and knowledge in the fifteenth century that led to the liberation from religious, social and political constraints specific to medieval times. This history unfolds great events right up to the twentieth century. Presenting world history in a short volume has its own difficulties, but this has not discouraged historians from attempting it. World history, largely for this reason is important and also essential to all of us. There is really a great need to know more about the world of which we are inextricably a part. This book provides an answer to so many questions which arise in the understanding of human mind and human civilisation.
